Our advanced laboratory facilities include a raw material fractionation and screening unit and prototype trial press machine that enable us to conduct full scale product developments identical to those produced in production.

Excellent product quality is the foundation of sustainable, cost-effective, and durable concrete products. With the QAVER technology, fresh concrete products can be evaluated immediately after compaction. It is possible to measure the compaction of the face mix and the base mix independently. The QAVER testing and documentation device offers numerous options for testing and documenting freshly manufactured concrete products as well as improving their properties.

Working sustainably and thinking about the future motivates us to take responsibility for our environment. Our sustainability strategy includes CO2 neutrality. The products we supply are manufactured using ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS), a cement replacement that provides a better quality product while promoting the undoubted and proven sustainability of construction.

SMEET deliver products on sustainably sourced wooden pallets and offer a collection service to reuse them again so that wooden pallets are not simply consigned to landfill. All wooden pallets that we collect are hand sorted and fully recycled by reuse or we will strip down the pallet to reclaim useable components. This recycling side of the business repairs, sorts and grades pallets from ‘bought-in’ collections and ‘brought-in’ delivered materials for re-use. Used wooden pallets or recycled pallets can be colour coded using a pallet spraying system to allow for easy identification and help our customers with pallet retrieval management.

In addition, water is a critical part of the process, and we utilize a waste water treatment and recycling system in our plant so that the water used for surface treatment production can be recycled and reused.

Our products meet the requirements and scope of Green Building Regulations such as regional materials, recycled materials, urban heat island reduction (Solar Reflectance Index, SRI) durable hardscape materials, and basic construction waste management. We are an Affiliate Member of The Gulf Organisation for Research & Development (GORD), demonstrating our commitment to sustainability and climate change.
